(i) OK Bob, point taken. Title changed

(ii) Gerry I must get to it. What I was thinking about - and trying to get a
discussion going on - was this: I was looking back at AA, Weston, Blakemore
etc,
who all had marvelous printers or who created their own great prints.

I have bought a number of books over the years on digital printing by various
authors, with varying reputations, but none seem to get near the abilities of
the classic printers. Is it the medium? Is it possible to achieve the same
sort
of results? And if it is possible whose books would LUGers recommend that I
look at?
