Tina,
I have not waded into this as yet. Typically, after a safari of 10 days, I
will have 15k-20k shots. I let them lie untouched for about 7-10 days after
I come back, to get the emotions of taking any photograph out of it, and
start editing. I normally whittle that down to 500-600 frames in a couple
of days (not too difficult as the numbers are made up of tons of nearly
identical shots, thanks to big buffers and high FPS!). When editing (i.e.
eliminating), I go by pure trust in my subconscious - if I instantly like a
composition, I keep it, otherwise it goes on the chopping board. I might
miss a few good ones this way, but I am left with the vast majority of
keepers to further analyze and process.

Cheers
Jayanand
