There are minor differences between the 4000 and the 5000....( some will
argue, but read on......)
The major difference was that the 4000 runs only on an older connectivity
standard... IEEE1383?  I forget exactly......
The 5000 is USB.

4000:
If you do not have the older standard, it means getting a card in your
PC.... if you are going to use a MAC, then I have no idea if the card is/was
built into YOUR computer model....
No PC's ever had it....and none do now....
