But a lot of it is personal preference. I too believe people get the best scanning results from the software they get the most comfortable with. I've used both Vuescan and Nikon's own scanning software with both the Supercool 4000 ED and the 9000. I ended up going back to Nikon's software after using Vuescan with both scanners.
