The 21/3.4 SA fits and won't interfere with the shutter. It does
however interfere with metering. Manual setting is required.

There is no lens code that works. Vignetting and more particularly
cyan drift are much more extreme than for any current Leica lens, and
so I wouldn't bother anymore trying to use it one the M8. It's more
trouble than the 12/5.6 CV, and for the latter at least there are no
alternatives so it's worth the effort.

I have tried various other lenses and most of the Visoflex lenses.
The 135 Elmarit works very well (I used it for some of the Dr. Ted
photos) and the Visoflex III works quite well once you set it up
correctly, and adjust your technique for the mirror up/metering
sequence of the arm. I've also tried various older lenses and a
couple of Canon and other lenses, but after some 'playing around' I
tend to stick to the relatively current Leica lenses. I do use the
4th gen. 35 Summicron a fair bit, and along with it the 90
Tele-Elmarit (thin) which work very well for me and my relatively
early Noctilux, but these are all from within the last 30 years.
