bought a demo m8 and have not regretted it at all

would I rather have a M9--sure

don;t think you will regret it

you will want the filters

the mag factor is not so bad--you quickly catch on that you move one notch 
on the lens chain 28-35, 35-50, 15-21

pull the trigger
