I always carry a bag: the every day, everywhere, smallest version = 10x5x6" which handles M8 with extra lens in a pouch, wallet, checkbook, phone, coin purse, note book, pen, et al. Further, the M8 mostly lives outside the bag; on the shoulder strap; or the bag is open for a quick grab. Under some social circumstances I understand the ultra-lightweight iPhone/camera, money clip, credit card and drivers license in the pocket. Beyond those limited times and places I don't understand "a camera in the pocket." For me even the best pocket camera ever made, the Olympus XA, eventually ended up in a drawer, and the M6 went back on the shoulder. The M8 trumps any pocket camera for size, weight, precision, image quality, and versatility; and the M9 trumps the M8. YMMV Regards, George Lottermoser george at imagist.com http://www.imagist.com http://www.imagist.com/blog http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist On May 27, 2010, at 8:30 AM, Tina Manley wrote: > I'd rather get bigger pockets than give up my M9!! > > Tina > > On Thu, May 27, 2010 at 9:06 AM, George Lottermoser > <imagist3 at mac.com>wrote: > >> The important thing seems to be >> "how big a sensor can I fit in my pocket?" >> >> ;~) >> >> Regards, >> George Lottermoser >> george at imagist.com >> http://www.imagist.com >> http://www.imagist.com/blog >> http://www.linkedin.com/in/imagist >> >> -- > Tina Manley, ASMP > www.tinamanley.com > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
