I wouldn't take anything you are worried about getting wet -- not the m8 for sure. Other vantage points such as Goat island, etc. have mist but not that bad. You are at one of my favorite spots on earth (I was born there, too, so probably a little biased). The area between Niagara Falls, Ontario and into Niagara on the Lake is also wonderful.
