Of course you can; you can go out shooting with one body and lens. It's all about "intention" and "purpose." If you need to take everything you own out on a shoot it indicates that you don't know why you're going out "on a shoot." (and that's fine and fun - to head out and discover the purpose as you go). However, if you go out with the intention of learning everything possible about your environment and way of seeing through a 50mm lux; then that's all you need to take. Just as if your intention and purpose is to get the most incredible details of birds in the wild requires telephoto; the 15mm just won't help; so why take it? Intention and purpose makes for the smallest kit.
