Rollei, Hasselblad, a few others have tried this as well..... all with
failure.  Niches, especially really narrow niches, are missed or things
change that make the niches disappear for a while.

It takes a big set of Huevos to try again.  We wish him luck, but we have
our own opinions about what should happen.

Mine?...... The R10 is by far, the camera that should be rushed to
market...... The M9 next, ........the S2, cancelled.

History will tell us if Herr Kaufmann was right, or....... If the name Leica
will become the brand name of some Asian Holga camera offshoot.......
