I have become fond of the CV 1,4/40 on my M3. As the fat 50 framelines
are as wide as the M3 VF has lines for, I just extrapolate a bit
outside of the default 50 lines for the 40. Pretty much stays on,
save for a 2,8/90 Elmarit for drawing power from time to time.

Betwixt the 2/35 and 1,4/50 in the query, methinks one would be making
a choice of either the ambient light requiring the speed of narrower
confines of the 'normal' 50, or the perspective of the wider 35.

Keep in mind that I'm not making a living as a photographer in the
above. I'm certain we could have a very long thread by those with
Nocti or the wides where the otherwise unobtainable shots paid for the
pricey glass or added lenses carried around.

'Elmar' Fudd used a Leica. After all, he taught us all from our
tender years about being 'Vewy Qwiet" when hunting wabbits.
