They have had something like 5 million downloads, I read today. I paid USD79.95 for the pro version a bit more than 5 years ago. I still costs the same today. That includes unlimited upgrades which is great value, I think. Now that it supports Raw as well that is a large leap, IMHO. It supports multiple scanners here, and provides hours of entertainment every time I'm tempted to try to understand the interface to do something different! Personally I think the Nikon software guy was moonlighting for them! Not that I scan much now ;-) Now tell the truth, do you REALLY TRULY miss working with MSDOS??? I did not pay, and did not use the SW, which is within the parameters of the SW Evaluation. I evaluated it within the developers terms and conditions. I have bought a lot of useless SW>... some of it cheap, some much more expensive. Hamrick has the right idea... try before you are committed to paying for something that does not do what you want it to do. Yes, I evaluated, had a lot of problems, gave up 3 or 10 times..... I forget which, but in the end, and only in the past few days, was I able to get it to work, for what I want, in the way it should. And yes, most SW is junk. Expensive junk. My opinion. New update this week that supports EXIF data too. You must really be annoyed that MS don't support MSDOS 5 any more for you.
