Thank you for posting these photos - you seem so SANE! Anyone who even
attempts the PBP, with it's qualifying requirements, etc. is really
heroic to my mind. I cannot imagine doing the ride that far in that
short of time. Did you do the 80 hour version?

Six members of my local bike club did the PBP this year and our club
hosts one of the qualifying events here in northern California. They
came to our October meeting and talked about the experience. Lots of
pictures. Lots of talk about RAIN. A couple of guys did it on
fixed-speed bikes. GEESH.

The image I came away with, though, wasn't from a photograph, but from
each person talking about riding at night and looking ahead and seeing
an endless stream of bike-lights painting the course of the road ahead
of them. That was a quite wonderful image.

For me I can do a century. Maybe I'll try the double century next
spring. But nothing like the PBP.

What was your recovery time?

And may I share that link with my local bike club members? I don't
want to pass along something and have it eat your bandwidth alive. I
doubt if that will happen but I should ask before I do.

Best regards,

Adam
