AFAIK the Rigid and the DR was of the same optical formula. I agree that all these lenses are excellent Saludos cordiales Luis -----Mensaje original----- De: lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org] En nombre de Leonard Taupier Enviado el: s?bado, 03 de noviembre de 2007 14:49 Para: Leica Users Group Asunto: Re: [Leica] WTB: DR or Rigid Summicron mount Hi Luis, I have a feeling the Rigid you have is a slightly different formula then the DR. My collapsable has an infinity lock button and a ser# of 121xxxx. My DR has no infinity button or tab. ser# 147xxxx. My Rigid has an infinity tab like the collapsable. ser# 160xxxx. This should be the same formula as the DR. The type 1 Rigid and DR only came in chrome. The type 2 Rigid only came in black, ser# 2268xxxx - 2995xxxx. I have been looking for a good sample of this one. The type 3 Rigid came in chrome or black and is above ser# 2995xxxx. The lens hood is not built in. The type 4 or current model came in chrome and black and has the built in lens hood. Type 2 and 3 may have focusing tabs, I'm not sure. Type 3 and 4 have the same lens formula. Type 1, 2 and 3/4 have different lens formulas, and a different look. All of these lenses have differences in either resolution or contrast, however all of them are superb lenses.
