Subject: [Leica] Missing: My R Vario-Elmarit 28-90 Asph's 67mm R Lens Cap

Since most of the guys in the field were kept far away from females, those
magic small devices were used as "shoot through dust caps" on the end of the
rifle barrel.

I started in that war with an M-14. Big, heavy and powerful. They took
it away and gave me an M-16. Smaller, lighter, and easier to carry. Made
by Mattel, it's swell ! But often I had a camera and a 9 mm. Colt Commander
under my shirt. But that is another story.........

Jungle fatigue jackets have nice, big pockets. Good places to hide an
Olympus Pen FT or a Rollei 35 for pictures around people who don't like
cameras......

  Camera ? What camera ?

If the question is about protecting the glass because a cap was lost,
there's been a long-standing tradition going on since Napoleon to this
day in Armies round the globe and aimed at protecting what you have
dearest when a soldier; namely. using c..d..s
FYI Gaps ends like N or is a mythical camera by Oly.

Play it safe with your gear ;-)
