Shooting and advancing quickly is another way to cause problems.  My 
M7 eventually developed erratic frame spacing from this resulting 
another trip to Leica NJ.   This problem has not recurred since it 
was fixed, though.

I think if you have pressure on the shutter release while winding you 
can jam the works, too.
