Whether the sensor module can be upgraded or not... I don't know. I wouldn't bet on it. As for whether anyone will buy it for $5K, obviously Leica thinks so, and I would agree with them. A 10MP, 1.33x crop digital camera for $5K is expensive, but then again, so is a film camera for $2K (2003 M6) and $3.5K (2006 M7/MP). Leica is not into mass market. Anyone who thinks Leica is making all these "lousy" business decisions should remember that against all odds, Leica camera still exists and still selling cameras. I know some people (say with initial B and D :-) ) will say, "but not for long!" But I say, lets wait and see. The Fat Lady is not singing yet...
