Infromation from the beta testers is very sketchy but generally postive as long as you accept increased vignetting with ultrawides due to sensor failure(see all the RD1 posts in the archives). Even more sketchy are the methods that will be used to overcome this. Like most new things from Leica there will be screams about expense, complaints that it isn't perfect, complaints that Leica was too anal retentive in how they make the "best" solution out there, real screams that it is not a real M, to how could they stop using the shutter that has served them so well for 80 years. Hopefully, Leica will take lessons from Silicone Valley and get out version 1 as promised. If they don't then they are fish bait, if they do, there is always the possibility of version 1a to correct any deficiencies.
