Since digital camera circuitry keeps getting smaller and smaller (and so do the digicams), why can't Leica put a sensor on a replaceable M back flap, put the related circuitry, batteries, etc. up the film column and in a base about the size of a Leicavit, and, boom, modular, upgradeable digital M (ala DMR)? I'd willingly forego a chimp screen for such a tool.
