"KISS!" keep it simple stupid and it works beautifully. Right out of the box, plug in and do sort of what I says, click "shoot or print" and it works.. :-) I think what happens with some folks is, they read way too much, fiddle way too much, listen to too many people too much. Instead of doing their own thing and making it work to their own satisfaction, without changing inks, software and all the other fixin's and they still never get it right. If there wasn't any internet each and all would learn by doing, not by listening to the opinions of others. Or their experience which quite often isn't as great as another might think when they see the results. Yep some folks do incredible work, just like taking pictures, some have a natural talent to see and click! Others fuss till death do them part and never get it right for the same reason, reading and trying too many things instead of learning how to make one element work perfectly. Then move on. Sure I didn't learn wet tray printing in a few days or months, better still years! ;-) But time did make a major difference and I learned by doing, not talking about it, besides 55 years ago it was all a big trade secret about photography because those who knew did not want others to learn. Why? Because they might take away their customers if they did! So you damn well learned on your own. But life was simple in those days and you learned by doing, not reading off a screen, both have their place though. :-) ted > > Scott > > Francis, Michael wrote: > >>Seconded (I have the HP 7960 it is wonderful) - so are the new Canons >>(i9900 >>for example) - it seems that the only company not capable of producing >>consistent colour without calibration, RIPs etc is Epson...
