I exited the Epson 2200 happy silent majority by seeking a decent print (both color and B&W) on an affordable, archival alpha-cellulose paper. There are some decent candidates from Moab, Premier and Innova, but no Quadtone RIP (B&W) profiles for these papers. So that's what got me into futzing mode. Maybe I'll give up and just print on a few tried and true cotton papers (HPR, VFA, etc. at a pricey $2-3/13x19 sheet) and call it a day, thus reentering the 2200 happy silent majority :-) We'll see. To otherwise simplify my photo life, though, I have decided to shoot only with a ~50mm lens (or 35mm prime on the D70) for the next few months. Lighten the bag, open the eyes. Kind of a shooting high colonic or something for me.
