Great point Mark. The Portfolio School is here in good old Atlanta. It has
been so successful that some of the staff has splintered off to form a
competitor; also here in Atlanta. I know some of the teachers and have seen
a lot of the work. Very impressive stuff. All the teachers are working
professionals in the field they teach. This is an extremely intensive
program that focuses on the work, i.e. the portfolio whether you are a
photographer, graphic designer, or whatever in the creative fields. If you
pay attention to the profs you will also learn the business side.

The benefit to this program is that the critique's are real, nobody is very
concerned about your ego; or the prof's for that matter. Compared to one of
the Art Institutes clones here in Atlanta where everybody graduates but
almost nobody works in the field 6 months later The Portfolio School has a
near 100% rate of graduates working in their chosen field after leaving.
