I had a look over a fellow Denver LUG member's gear and got a kick out
of seeing:

A previous-generation 50 Summicron with "uncappable" slotted hood capped
with a Pentax cap, and...

A big 400mm Viso lens capped with Haagen-Daaz pint cover!

It seemed to work really well. Custom caps are also available from Steve
K Grimes (www.skgrimes.com) also.
