Although this is a heavy duty machine, it is very similar in appearance to the used Singer treadle-powered machine that my Mother had when I was a child. The accessories were enclosed in a felt-lined varnished wooden box that opened up flat to expose all of the gimmicks.? I explored it all.? Today, the best one can hope for is a fragile plastic or cardboard container.
