I?m with Jayanand on the focal range - was there some time back with a
24-120 on a FF D700 and that was more than enough.
My current kit contains an XT-2, and the zoom cited by Jayanand. But I think
I?d take my (or Alice?s to be honest) 18-135 along as it delivers
consistently (the testers may think write differently though) and the combo
would offer what many other options may provide in this moist if not wet
environment depending on the season, weather sealing.

We stayed on one of the less epensive islands across the laguna. Vaporettos
(read water buses) are frequent and safe to ride)

Takes at least three days to get a glimpse of the maze of lanes, and
bridges, and more to visit Burano ( a must early morning - too many tourists
after ten) and Murano (more frequented and less attractive, but there?s
crystal there ?)

More off list if needed

Amities
