Frank,
FWIW, I even find the Billingham 335 heavy and cumbersome today. The
capacity to carry a heavy bag has declined significantly in the last 20
years, and now that I am 65, light weight is of paramount concern - for
example, in my Nikon system, I have gravitated to f4 zooms instead of f2.8
ones. I still carry it as a general bag for international travel, though -
it will carry my 13" laptop, my Ipad Mini, all travel documents,
medication, etc, with room left for any casual purchases in duty free.

Cheers
Jayanand
