A real bummer.... I was hoping for a miracle. Soft in the edges really
stinks....

I use WA lenses primarily... so I need to have that level of image quality
on my sensor with WA lenses........ My favorites are the 24 and 35.. And
since I have a Tri Elmar usually bolted in front, I ues the 28 a fair amount
as well.

OTOH, if I could convince myself that the native lenses for the A7 are good
enough for me, I would change systems in a snap....

My Sony a7r2 arrived. There are a lot of interesting good things on it, the
smooth shutter being one of the most obvious and first things a previous
Sony owner will notice. The shutter sounds and feels much more like a Leica
shutter.

As to the M wides, they no longer have magenta color at the edges and
terrible fringing, but they are soft at the edges. From what I've seen it's
likely the WATE is the only M wide that will work as it should.
