I take a different approach to Erwin's analysis.  I like his scientific
approach, I find his reviews static and un-emotional.  However I take his
results with a grain of salt.

If you want to appear to be uncompromising and above reproach, then you must
truly be non-paid and non-partisan.  Basically a regular Joe Consumer.   And
you must never take on any job from the supplier.

Erwin does work at times for Leica.  He is paid or receives some form of
remunerative compensation from this activity.  This then makes me think his
impartiality is questionable at all times.

He also has received items for testing/review ahead of the general public.
This again makes him part of the Leica Crew.

I like his reviews, I read them, I believe in them when technical aspects
come to mind, But do I believe he is impartial?  No.
