The bottom line is that Erwin probably knows more about optics than all of
us put together, but given his financial arrangements with Leica over the
years, there is no way he can or should be trusted as an impartial judge
of Leica products. This is not to say that he isn't as honest as a day in
June in the Northern Hemisphere is long; it is to say that once one takes
money - or product - from a company, one should no longer be considered an
impartial judge of anything having to do with that company.
