I know of nobody but Leica for the o-fficial coded Leica mounts.
Maybe someone else knows better.  Does John Milich do screw-on
replacement mounts in addition to LTM-to-M adapters?  Actually, that's
tickling a neuron - can you send your kens's bayonet to him for
machining?  Someone will chime in.

Not strictly, because the M9, unlike the M8, allows you to tell the
camera what lens is mounted via the menus.  Coding becomes more a
thing for speed and convenience than the only way to make sure the
camera compensates for lens characteristics.

The wider the lens, the more important the compensation is.

Note, though, that since the M9 doesn't require IR filters, you don't
need to deal with their corner issues.

I can't speak generally, but I've had no trouble with the highest-end
Sandisk SDHC cards.
