I really do not want a 2 or three week turnaround. I know of nobody but Leica for the o-fficial coded Leica mounts. Maybe someone else knows better. Does John Milich do screw-on replacement mounts in addition to LTM-to-M adapters? Actually, that's tickling a neuron - can you send your kens's bayonet to him for machining? Someone will chime in. > 2) Is it really necessary to get the lenses coded? Not strictly, because the M9, unlike the M8, allows you to tell the camera what lens is mounted via the menus. Coding becomes more a thing for speed and convenience than the only way to make sure the camera compensates for lens characteristics. The wider the lens, the more important the compensation is. Note, though, that since the M9 doesn't require IR filters, you don't need to deal with their corner issues. > 3) What memory cards "play" best with the M9? I can't speak generally, but I've had no trouble with the highest-end Sandisk SDHC cards. -Jeff
