Mine did too.  Here's the current problem:

The LR3 catalog on my MacBook Pro is different from the one on my
desktop PC, it has totally different folders and image files.  I
successfully export a folder 'as a catalog' from the MBP to an
external hard drive. That means I have the image files from that
folder as well as the accompanying adjustment data which is in an
.lrcat file on the external drive. I then try to import it to the PC
and the operation fails due to what LR calls 'an unknown error'.  Yet,
from my PC, I can access the .lrcat file I had just created on the
external hard drive, open in it LR3 and adjust the images.

Go Figure.

I did not have this issue when doing the same maneuver from my MBP to
my PC when I was using LR2.x. It is thought to be a bug that is being
researched and will be fixed in the next 'dot' release but I haven't
been told that for sure.
