I've never used the lens correction feature.  I use only Leica lenses ;-)
 They don't need correcting.

I think there are many more reasons to upgrade - noise handling for one
thing.  Better curves.  Perspective correction.
I've been using it so long I've forgotten what was not in LR2.  I know I
wouldn't hesitate to upgrade, though.
