Hi Lluis,

Thanks for the nice comments on the image.  All of my shots are hand-held, 
so focus depends on keeping the camera in the same place.  I focus with the 
lens wide open, then stop down to make the exposure.  At 1 to 2 feet, I 
generally stop down to about 5.6 or 8.  Closer than that, I stop down to 
around 11.  I usually chose the ISO and limit the stops so that I can keep 
the shutter speed above 1/100.  Sometimes, I choose the stop to limit DOF, 
basing it on what I see in the VF.

I have to admit that I get my share of out of focus images.  I usually try 
to take a few more than necessary, and discard the bad ones when I get them 
on the computer screen.
