Yes, my daughter is a marine biologist and has a book full of interesting 
facts about wildlife. In the UK the worst environmental disaster ever was 
the grounding of the Torrey Canyon oil tanker in the 1960s. Domestic cats in 
the UK kill as many birds in 2 weeks as were killed in that disaster... She 
will not replace her cat when it passes away, she did not realise what a 
disaster it is for man to impose such a vicious predator in such vast 
numbers on the natural wildlife population. Normally nature supports very 
few raptors per population of prey species. As usual man f*cks it up, 
usually without realising it!
I bet for every cat killed by a bird there are tens of millions of birds 
killed by cats!
