I owned the 75mm Summilux in my film-shooting days, and it was always
difficult to focus, also on the M6 and M7. On the M6HM it was a bit
easier, but with this kind of lens one simply has to accept that there
will be lots of images that are not in perfect focus.

Personally, I prefer the shorter lenses to have really big aperture; I
have the 1.4/50mm and the 1.2/35mm from CV. I really like the 75mm
focal length on the M8 and have found the 75mm Summarit to be an
extremely good lens. By far the best of the Summarit line, and
probably the sharpest lens I own (and that includes the 35mm Summicron
ASPH). So if you can live with the 2.5 maximum aperture, then it is an
extremely good and cost-effective option.

Cheers,
Nathan
