[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]I've certainly given film a chance. 40 + years - buying, testing, souping, printing, enlarging, selling, mixing, dektol, beers, pyro, diafine, microdol, super xx, tri x, plus x, panatomic x, verichrome, ektachrome, kodachrome, hp 4 and 5, kodalith, delta everything, portriga, gallerie, RC, chloride, sulfite, elan, hydroquinone, sulfate, farmers reducer, potassium ferricyanide, blowing and rubbing, dodging and burning, water bath, d-23, and much much more are still available in my former dark (now storage) room. scanning film - minutes per frame - before I can even begin post processing the image file which will require significant "spotting" - no thank you. for me - if and when I give film another chance it will be to contact print the film or put the film in an enlarger as it was meant to be. If I need to supply a digital image file to a client or make a digital print for a customer it will be from a digitally captured image file.
