Gene,

I took my M4P and a 35mm Summicron into a downpour in Milford Sound
(NZ) protected only by the brim of my hat when I am taking pictures
and under a raincoat when I am not. The camera and lens survived fine.
I had to wipe a bit of water off but that is all. The transient
waterfalls and light were worth the risk.

Given Tina's experience with her M8, I am not sure I would bother with
a sacrificial camera but Niagra Falls is not as interesting as Milford
Sound.

Regards,
Spencer
