Memories flood back: good luck. Lovely dog Cheers Alastair and HElen --- richard.lists@gmail.com wrote: From: "Richard Man" <richard.lists@gmail.com> To: "Leica Users Group" <lug@leica-users.org> Subject: [Leica] Kiva, the Energizer Corgi Date: Wed, 7 Jan 2009 02:34:40 -0800 About 3 weeks ago, I called the vet to set up the "appointment," I could hardly finished the conversation and cried my eyes out. At the same time, we also started treating her with Anipryl, a "dogsheimer" medication. It's only effective about 65% of the time, and fortunately, it's immediately effective with her. She still can't see and can't walk due to the old back injury, old age and the slippery vinyl floor. She sleeps most of the time, but doggone it, she is still the cuddliest dog and still is housebroken. She gets taken out 4-5 times a day to do her business and wears a dog diaper in case of accidents (which usually do not happen). This past weekend, we took her to the anime con with us, and Karisu dressed her up as a pirate (Arrrrr, or is it Arrrfffff?) and as an "elegant gothic canine" and pushed her around in the stroller. She got tons of attention and she loved every second of it. I don't know how much longer we will have her. She's actually pretty healthy besides her back legs don't work much (actually she can still walking on non-slippery surface such as the grass area) and blind. By the grace of the gods, she is alive, and that's the important part. http://www.dragonsgate.net/pub/richard/PICS/01032009_41.jpg -- // richard m: richard @imagecraft.com // b: http://rfman.wordpress.com _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
