Subject: [Leica] Cuba?
From: kcarney1 at cox.net (Ken Carney)

This thread has rekindled my interest in visiting Cuba, so I have read a
little more. Aside from little things like your medical insurance possibly
being n/a, I noticed a couple of disincentives. First, if you are caught by
the U.S., it appears the (civil) fines are not that huge and can be
negotiated down to somewhere in M-8 range. That is from looking at boards
and may or may not be correct. However, that could be an issue in renewing
professional licenses or e&o insurance. At least mine ask really invasive
questions. Secondly, if I am there illegally, to whom could I show my
photos? Posting on the internet might not be the smartest move. Just
thinking out loud - I'd like to go, but maybe later if things open up some.
