Besides people can do the mental maths! One thing that I have noticed is that I don't have to have exactly the same field of view as I got with film Ms. You just frame your shot a little differently. Its just a mental adjustment. For example a 21 on the M8 gives the same FoV as a 28 on an M7 but the photos are not the same. You are just getting a 21mm photo with the edges cut off. (by Mark's crop circle!)
