A monster but you get used to it as its the same exact configuration of every other 35mm SLR of the pre 90's. So that's the reason why a lot of people used it. There are just a lot of people who feel totally comfortable with the standard traditional SLR configuration of bodies made in the 1970s-1990's. They like not to have to think. They know where the rewind button is. Or that they can pull hard up on the rewind crank to open the back. Its unconscious. And these people can not get shooting with a box. They don't feel like they're getting the shot. But let me tell you lots of fashion photography gets done with a tripod. mark@rabinergroup.com Mark William Rabiner > From: "wildlightphoto@earthlink.net" <wildlightphoto@earthlink.net> > Reply-To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> > Date: Sun, 21 Dec 2008 07:04:38 -0800 (GMT-08:00) > To: Leica Users Group <lug@leica-users.org> > Subject: RE: [Leica] S2 Lenses MTF & Resolutions > > Tina Manley wrote: > >> But even more would be fashion photographers who need the >> high quality, large file sizes plus the mobility of the S2. > > I can't stress too much the value of even a little bit of mobility when you > have an active subject: shifting a bit to the left or right to change > backgrounds or to keep the same background as the subject moves, or > whatever... being able to try a slightly different POV and composition on > the > fly... > > It's not just the image quality the S2 is expected to deliver that will > appeal > to studio & location photographers, it's the mobility and quick handling > like > a 35mm camera combined with the image quality their clients expect. > > Doug Herr > Birdman of Sacramento > http://www.wildlightphoto.com > > > > _______________________________________________ > Leica Users Group. > See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
