Well THAT has nothing to do with image quality......  or a Leica competitive 
advantage......  Competitive advantages must have barriers to entry.   The 
S2 looks and acts like a Canon or Nikon.......  Nothing there except a 
tether...... which may be REALLY important.

I can't stress too much the value of even a little bit of mobility when you 
have an active subject: shifting a bit to the left or right to change 
backgrounds or to keep the same background as the subject moves, or 
whatever... being able to try a slightly different POV and composition on 
the fly...

..................it's the mobility and quick handling like a 35mm camera 
combined with the image quality their clients expect.
