And I never did find a scanner which gave me what was on the film. My first foray into digital was drum scans of my 4x5 or 120 transparencies for use in my design work. Kind of spoils you for digital image quality. I went through 4 scanners trying to approach the drum scans. None ever did. Digital capture does approach the quality of drum scans and in a fraction of the time of purchasing film processing film and scanning film. That said I miss the darkroom. I miss the negatives and transparencies. But I don't have a choice. I admire Alan's ability to shoot digital for work and film for personal. Maybe in 2009 I'll be able to find a way to do that.
