I agree.  I have never paid any attention to whether a lens was black 
or chrome except to buy the cheapest.  I have an M6 Panda that I 
didn't even realize was a Panda until I read about it on the 
internet.  It was and is just a camera to take photos.  I really 
cannot understand paying extra for the Leica collectibles.  I'm no 
buying them as an investment. I'm a photographer!
