The package also includes a set of masks for all sorts of formats and very good text recognition software. I even use it for strips of 35mm when I'm in a rush - the quality of these is not quite as good as from my Coolscan V ED, but I get through them quicker I read that the later model (9950F, I think) was even better. BTW, it's also more than adequate for normal office applications There's a review (2006) of an Epson V750 Pro here that also includes a comparison with the Canon Flatbed http://www.photo-i.co.uk/Reviews/interactive/Epson%20V750/page_3.htm What isn't mentioned is that the Epson was about 6 times the price of the Canon at the time The latest Canon 8800F offering is shown here at prices between around 150 to 250 USD http://tinyurl.com/3lzrfy* *Here's the comparable Epson 4490 - similar (slightly lower) price range http://tinyurl.com/4ppr4w Beyond these, prices begin to rise dramatically. Cheers Douglas * * Frank Filippone wrote: > Too Late... it is in the mail already! > > The approach may be different than the average user.... > > Scan in NikonScan and save to disc. > After scanning a LOT of rolls, open LR2 and bring all the files in. > After that, then open LR2 and select / throw away the images I have no use > for.
