It's the cheapest pos you can find, it contains old business cards from people you don't like, a few stray pieces of paper to bulk it out, and absolutely nothing of value or personal identification. EVER. (If you're out of your home country, or expect to be gone long, you should probably have three or four of these in your luggage...) ALL valuables and personal ID are in a zippered or velcro'ed inside pocket or a neck pouch; small amounts of cash to pay for immediate needs may be carried folded in half tucked well down inside a front trouser pocket. Camera bags should be lined with chicken wire and, if possible, should have a strap with a steel cable or slashproof core. Backpacks and buttpacks are also lined with chicken wire mesh and worn in front of the body. Pacsafe makes some excellent products to help keep honest folk honest and they are highly recommended. You are ALWAYS at risk. Period. Full Stop. There are no exceptions. Quoth the Jayanand Govindaraj : > Same thing happened to me in the George V metro stop in Paris a > couple of years ago. The pickpockets took the cash and threw the wallet, > so I > got my credit cards, etc back.We live and learn..I have never been > pickpocketed in India, but then I dont look like a tourist here! -- R.
