Now THAT is Leica friendly...if you are in the side car! CHEERS! BOB -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+bobkiss=caribsurf.com@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+bobkiss=caribsurf.com@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Rob McClure Sent: Monday, August 20, 2007 8:25 PM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] LeMans the movie on now Hi Richard, The only thing really hurt was my pride (low speed drop from hitting pile of gravel during turn -- thank goodness for helmet, jacket, boots, etc.) About the only bike damage was a destroyed mini-fairing, but most early 80's Yamaha Seca 750's were "naked bikes" as mine now is. It has been well suited for Leica shooting (to get somewhat on topic) as I often have one nested in the tank bag. Coincidentally I have been looking at BMW's (older K1200RS, R1100RT or R1100R -- a K1200GT would be my ultimate choice, but a little to new to be affordable for me). Most Beemers come with ABS -- which might have helped me avoid the accident. BTW, the IBMWR list has a bunch of neat, helpful people and reminds me in many ways of the LUG. They even have a few elder philosophers (but no saloonkeeper!) Rob McClure On Aug 20, 2007, at 8:08 PM, Richard Clompus wrote: > Rob, motorcycling is indeed exciting.
