GeeBee, bonus points for alternates. I might side with Don on a vertical. 
Maybe that would be the conventional choice and I'm a
sucker for that setup with foreground interest and lush colours. However I 
really like the organic shape of the tree to the left in
your first shot. I can see that mini-swamp was an obstacle to positioning 
too.
