My Canon EOS 1Ds Mk2 developed a shutter fault whilst on holiday. It
didn't stop the camera working, thankfully, but there was an
underexposed strip at the top of each picture, worse at fast shutter
speeds. It was fixed under warranty. I got the impression from the
technician that the problem was not that uncommon. Otherwise my only
complaint is the obtuse menu system, the results I like.
