Subject: [Leica] New M8 Firmware now ready.

The only question I can answer is that I tried my new WA Tri-Elmar
with lens detection + IR filter turned ON. I don't have the IR cut
filter. The photos I've taken show a slight Magenta cast in the
corners and sides. This would be to offset the Cyan creep problem.
With just the lens detection turned on the Magenta cast goes away. In
Tungsten lighting I can see the cyan creep. In daylight photos I
don't see any ill effects.

My suggestion would be if you don't have the filters for your WA
lenses, turn off lens detection. Then your photos will be like the
old firmware.
